Uprooted Media Collective is a youth-run and focused media group that provides filmmaking opportunities for marginalized young people!

News: Check out Making a Scene 2.0, our LGBTQ Kitchener/Waterloo (Six Nations Territory) program! Deadline extended to March 28th

About our film

Across prairies, through mountains, over rivers and along both coastlines, directors Thane Robyn and Becca Redden go on a journey to hang out with badass youth, and in turn have their perspectives on the future be changed and challenged.

Project Uprooted is a collection of social and environmental justice stories told by teenage youth in canada. Discussing representation in the media, family, activism, identity, and more, youth from across great distances and great differences find the common threads that bond them together to change their communities.
